is climbing the world rankings and 2019 sees the introduction of some major rule changes aimed and simplifying the game while making it quicker to play
For over six years now Golf’s ruling bodies have undertaken a very thorough review of the Rules of Golf. For the first time ever, all golfers from around the world have been able to contribute with the R&A and USGA receiving feedback from over 30,000 golfers from over 100 different countries. The new code has been modernised, is much easier to read and interpret and had a focus on making the game faster. With the launch date nearing, I intend covering the main changes that will impact play in the next four issues and this month start with the areas of the course.
To best illustrate the change I present it in a table format to illustrate what we currently do compared to the new 2019 rule.
