First please un­der­stand that the hands are not for hit­ting with. Their main func­tion is merely to hold on to the club and al­low the wrists to act as a free flow­ing hinge.

03-04: They sim­ply ver­ti­cally hinge up and down sim­i­lar to us­ing a Ham­mer. Think of the Con­nect­ing Chain on the mar­tial art Nun Chuc de­vice act­ing as a free hinge. As this is hap­pen­ing, the Arms swing side to side and the torso re­sponds and ro­tates in pro­por­tion to the Swing length.
