People who worry about having or developing a serious illness may be raising their heartdisea­se risk, according to a team of Norwegian scientists. The researcher­s surveyed more than 7000 older people’s levels of anxiety about their health and found those who were worried had a 6% chance of developing heart disease compared with 3% for those who were not.
