Good news for holiday season indulgence – a University of Bergen study indicates healthy people can tolerate saturated fat as long as the fat quality is good and the total energy intake not too high. Trial participan­ts in Norway who ate a high-fat diet had improvemen­ts in blood pressure, blood lipids and blood sugar and no increase in cardiovasc­ular disease risk.
