Menopausal women experience a decline in lung function that may result in shortness of breath and fatigue, says a report published in the American Thoracic Society’s journal. The decline was comparable with smoking 20 cigarettes a day for 10 years and researchers say it highlights the importance of maintaining respiratory health.
