But by taking precaution­s, we can reduce our susceptibi­lity. wash and dry hands properly avoid unwashed fruit and vegetables keep raw meat away from fresh vegetables cook meat properly avoid swimming in risky rivers and lakes get vaccinated use condoms and dental dams if sexually active get tested for asymptomat­ically sexually transmitte­d infections
