JOB STRAIN DANGERS

-

Researchers at the Sydney mood disorder facility Black Dog Institute have found that people who experience high job strain are more likely to develop common mental illnesses such as anxiety and depression. Job strain is caused by high work pace, intensity and con con icting demands combined with low control or decision-making capacity. Workplaces that reduce job strain could prevent up to 14% of new cases

of anxiety and depression.
