Tensions in transformation programmes
Success stories have a habit of making things seem easy when in reality, transformation is far from an easy process and employees being ‘change weary’ is just one of the tensions that companies face. There is very real tension between needing revitalisation but desiring normalcy and there are numerous strategies that successful companies employ to avoid transformation fatigue. Clearly not all employ these as the European Economic commission reported that two thirds of large-scale enterprise transformation programmes fail to achieve their goals.
