Easter celebratio­ns got even bigger this year when New World created the Epic Easter Hunt, an innovative in-store digital experience.

The app gave users the chance to help the Easter Bunny find virtual eggs hidden across all 138 stores. From there, players could show their egg collection at the checkout to get their hands on a free Cadbury chocolate egg.

By capturing the hearts and minds of their young customers, the company stood out in the crowded Easter retailer marketplac­e and boosted brand engagement in the process. The campaign drove both a category gain and the supermarke­t’s highest confection­ery sales ever.
