The TAB has a loyal core customer base, but were experiencing difficulty retaining new account customers.
A new strategy to onboard and retain customers involved the creation of an interactive, personalised training website, with six training drills for them to complete. Entrants earned a badge after completing each training drill, with a $20 free bet on offer when they completed all the training.
This ambitious project transformed a previously one - dimensional email based onboarding approach into a multichannel, gamified and interactive experience which exceeded every target. Racing betting account customers are now on boarded in the same way.
