MARKETING ASSOCIATION ANNOUNCES KEY PARTNERSHIP WITH CUPRA NEW ZEALAND

-

As a national organisation, MA recognised a win-win in joining with European Motor Distributors, the exclusive importer and distributor of Volkswagen Group vehicles in New Zealand, to further strengthen brand and product awareness of their newest brand, CUPRA, with the help of MA’S wide market reach and highly engaged members. The partnership means that a smartly liveried CUPRA provided by European Motor Group will be highly visible at future MA functions. You’ll easily recognise this smart and classy vehicle because it’s embellished with the MA logo.

Group Head of Digital at European Motors Sara Pastor Ruprichova told MA that the CUPRA arrived in New Zealand last year with the sensational 300hp (221kw) CUPRA Ateca SUV, and proved itself to be an immediate hit. In fact, CUPRA sold out all the cars it could bring into the country a number of times, often before they’d even arrived at the port.

The brand has hit a sweet spot with discerning consumers who demand high build quality, lightning performance, quality finishing, and world-class European engineering and design in one sensibly priced package. Until CUPRA’S arrival, if you wanted a European SUV with sub-five-second zero to 100km/h performance, you had to spend well over $ 100,000. CUPRA turned this market upside down with the $66,900 Ateca, and this is a brand with the full weight of the Volkswagen Group behind it.

What’s in store for CUPRA?

CUPRA New Zealand is eagerly anticipating the arrival of the all-new CUPRA Formentor, the CUPRA Leon Hatch and the CUPRA Leon Sportstourer performance wagon in June.
