➀ Maza White make up artist

A makeup artist for nearly 12 years, Maza White coloured model Lara into camera-ready condition in Let there be Light on page 76. What inspired you to become a makeup artist? I was drawn to makeup artistry in my childhood, having always been fascinated by the beauty of faces. As I get to know my subjects, I look for their inner beauty in order to accentuate outer beauty. What’s one makeup tip brides should always remember? Excellent skincare and good brows form the foundation for a top-quality canvas – find a brow expert who understands the art of framing a face.

➁ Ella Francis fashi on assistant

Our newest team member is recently married, so has plenty of planning experience to draw on when it comes to compiling her fashion and styling pages. For you, what makes a couple’s big day memorable? From reception table décor to unusual exit songs, expressions of individuality always leave an impression. Who’s your favourite bridal designer? French designer Laure de Sagazan makes some of the most graceful dresses I’ve seen. I used one of her designs as the inspiration for my own gown.

➂ Ben Fahy columnist

Columnist Ben Fahy is an authority on grooms’ etiquette, penning Present Danger on page 128. What’s the most memorable moment of your wedding day? My sister playing the keyboard and singing ‘I’m on Fire’ (we got engaged at a Bruce Springsteen concert) as my soon-to-be-wife walked down the aisle (the Queen’s Chain beside Lake Wanaka) and I sweated profusely in 30-degree heat. What music would get you up and dancing at a wedding? It doesn’t take much to get me up. But George Benson’s ‘Give me the Night’ was the song we chose for our first dance.
