Find a few lamp shades

Browse your local charity shop (or perhaps Nana’s storage box!) for a collection of lamp shades – ideally in a few different sizes for visual interest.

Destroy, then decorate

Remove the fabric from the shade's frame, then decorate the skeleton with textures, colours and decorative items that suit your wedding theme. Finally, hang with ribbon or twine.

Want to recreate this look? Find two old lamp shades. Remove all fabric and embellishments and cover the wire base with double-sided tape. Carefully stick live moss onto the wire and enhance with roses (attached with floral wire) and seed lights. We got our living moss sheets from Creative Style.
