To avoid any bigday bungles, it definitely pays to seek professional application for a streak-free, bride-worthy result. Auckland beauty boutique Society (society. net. nz) is busy prettifying women yearround for weddings and other special occasions. Owner and beauty specialist Ashley Skiffington says that spray tans are a common pre-wedding treatment.

“We use Moroccan Tan, which is organic and made with argan oil,” Skiffington explains. “The colour adapts to your natural melanin and skin tone, which means the result will never be orange.”

A professional spray tan is quick – about 15 minutes – and should last seven to 10 days. With any tanning products, it’s wise to do a pre-wedding trial so you know the ingredients used do not irritate or react to your skin – the last thing you want is a sore rash breaking out the morning of “I do”!
