Stacey’s Hotspots

New Zealand Weddings - - PLANNING -

Stacey Weaver, founder and creator of Christchurch-based stationery and gift shop Just South West ( justsouthwest. com) tells us her top picks from her hometown Christchurch and beyond. Q Where’s your go-to spot in Christchurch for a nice bite to eat? A I love Boo Radley’s on Victoria Street for a nice bite, cocktails and live music. Q And for something a little fancier? A With so many new bars and restaurants opening in the city, this is a hard one. I would have to say Botanic on the newly developed Terraces overlooking the Avon River. Q What are some of your favourite places to visit in the South Island? A I’d recommend booking an Airbnb in a small town in the middle of nowhere. There are some beautiful spots to really get away from it all. Some faves are Washpen Falls and second-hand store Overflow in Mayfield, for lovers of a treasure hunt! Q Where was your favourite wedding in the South Island held? A It would have to have been when I got to watch the two best people I know marry each other on the waterfront in Ngakuta Bay. Q What do you love about living in the Canterbury region?

A I love being able to easily escape to beautiful spots in nature – we are not short of those here. Also, being part of the evolution of Christchurch city post- earthquake is a really wonderful thing.
