Secondly, antibiotics such as doxycycline and minocycline are often prescribed by GPs and dermatologists looking for a ‘quick fix’, and can be helpful, although there are now concerns about prescribing antibiotics, as the incidence of serious bugs that are resistant to antibiotics is rising.
