What is the best tip a make-up artist has ever given you?

Pat some foundation or concealer over your lips before applying your lippy. It helps the colour last longer and will stop it from bleeding.

What was your most recent skincare purchase? Imedeen Time Perfection skincare tablets – I’ve been a fan of this product for years. I love how it takes care of my skin from the inside out.

Tell us about your most recent make-up buy? It was a M.A.C Satin Lipstick. I was looking for a specific colour match to a dress for an event, and M. A.C has such a great range of colours and textures to choose from.

What is your favourite fragrance?

I’ve always been an Eternity girl – it’s such a fresh scent, which I love. I’ve gotten used to people saying nice things about my perfume and asking me what scent I’m wearing!

What is your biggest beauty blooper ever? Two words.

Silver eyeshadow. When I was 30-something, I bought this gorgeous silk satin cowl neck Keith Matheson dress for a wedding, I was really excited because it was my first designer dress purchase, so I wanted my make-up to match the dress and for my eyes to “pop”. And, oh boy, did they pop. In all the wrong ways! When I come across photos from that wedding, I cringe, then I have a good giggle at me and my ineptly applied eyeshadow. My complex relationship of mistrust and fear with eyeshadow continues to this day. I only let professionals put eyeshadow on me now!

Do you have a special body beauty ritual? I put body moisturiser on, morning and night. My favourite is Vaseline Intensive Care Cocoa Glow. It smells like summer to me. What is the one product you can’t live without? Cetaphil cleanser. It all starts with clean skin before anything else goes on.
