GO OUTSIDE AND REAP THE REWARDS OF BEING CLOSE TO NATURE

It’s time to say goodbye to your manicured fingernails and clean feet. We are well into spring and even if you can’t think of anything that must be done, National Gardening Week starts on October 6, so you will have to do something.

Of course, passionate gardeners don’t need a special week to encourage them, but that’s not all the week is about. It aims to foster a love of gardening with a focus not only on growing plants but also friendships, good health, strong communities and closer connections to nature.

There are events designed to encourage people to help in a community garden, lend a hand in a neighbour’s garden or do something in their own space. And if you’re short on ideas, seek out a gardening expert and learn.
