A NEW SHOW PROVES AGE IS NO BARRIER TO ACHIEVEMENT

-

They say age is just a number, and that’s certainly true for the contestants on Little Big Shots: Forever Young.

This fascinating new series showcases the hidden talents of senior citizens aged between 60 and 103.

Host of the series Steve Harvey says these young-atheart contestants will dazzle and delight everyone with jaw-dropping performances.

“I’m sitting here at 61 and I’m going, ‘Man I’ve to go get my life together!’” laughs the Emmy-nominated TV star. “You’ve got a 91-year-old gymnast who’s on the parallel bars and doing a floor routine with tumbles and flips. Come on, man, that’s amazing!”

The series comes after the success of Little Big Shots, a similar show centred around young children that proved a huge hit in the US.

In this new series, viewers will meet Carla, a high-flying great-grandma; Larry, the plumber-turned-opera singer; Arthur, a tap-dancing legend; Shirley, the viral gospel phenomenon; and Chipps, the comedy magician – and there’s even a special guest appearance by 96-year-old actress Betty White!

Rebecca Ostroff (61) who performs trapeze and the “iron jaw” – a trick in which she spins while held in the air by her teeth alone – couldn’t believe it when she landed a spot on the show.

She recalls, “I was thrilled and excited and I couldn’t believe it. I was like, ‘Pinch me, am I really in Hollywood?’”
