Finding delight

I thoroughly enjoyed the feature on British actress Imelda Staunton (05.03.18) and totally understand why she was keen to star in Finding Your Feet. It’s so refreshing to see a lm with a decent storyline that re ects real life, particularly when the lives in question belong to retired people. Life doesn’t suddenly stop at 30 or 40, in fact this lm showed it all – sadness, love, fun, adventure and the need to start life over again for many people of a “certain age”. It’s a shame that some of the current crop of Hollywood scriptwriters (aka explosive, CGI experts) were not in our local cinema to hear the applause and delight at the end of this very touching and human lm.
