Flax t ips.....

-

Plant flax in the sun for healthy foliage and good colour. A breezy spot is no bad thing because it helps deal to mealy bug and scale insects. Most varieties are fairly frost hardy.

If you become a flax fan, you might want to lift and divide your plants every few years. Whack them into sections, trim any super-long or damaged roots, replant and water.

Lifting and dividing every few years also keeps plants looking fresh and provides new plants for your garden. Dig up the whole and whack it into sections. If the roots break, so be it – you’ll have difficulty killing it. Trim long or damaged roots and replant.
