Steven Spielberg has done it again! The famed E.T. and War of the Worlds director has a long history of creating science-fiction classics, but that hasn’t stopped him from continuing to push the boundaries in the genre.

Based on the best-selling book of the same name, Ready Player One follows a young hero named Wade, living in the year 2045 where the world is on the brink of chaos and, instead of solving their problems, people have found comfort in a virtual reality world. Steven says this has been one of the hardest films he’s ever made and it’s easy to see why when it comes to the incredible graphics and special effects. While I didn’t quite feel emotionally attached to some of the characters and their stories, it was still a highly enjoyable film that the whole family could watch.
