SPLASH on some colour

Winter’s nearly here, so take advantage of the last days of autumn to brighten up your garden. Unless you have plenty of winter flowering plants, your landscape might look a little dull for the next couple of months, which is why someone invented paint. Grab a rough old table from your own garage or someone else’s, give it a sand (rough or painstaking, depending on how picky you are) and slap on a couple of coats of red paint. Add three pots (three, not two) and position it somewhere it’ll catch the eye. If you hate red, deep blue is very trendy right now.
