SHOW ME THE MONEY

NIGEL LATTA IS BACK WITH SOME SOUND FINANCIAL ADVICE

-

As the man behind the TV series Mind Over Money, one might think Nigel Latta would have his finances sorted. But even the beloved Kiwi psychologist and television host has had his share of money problems.

“The reality of being a human is that we all make varying degrees of mistakes when it comes to money,” explains Nigel (50) with a chuckle. “I’ve spent money on stuff and afterwards thought to myself,

‘What was I thinking?’”

After a successful first season, Mind Over Money returns this week with more savvy financial advice. Nigel will explore what money means to different people. Money personalities include freedom seeker, sociable sharer, power spender and security saver.

“I’m a freedom seeker and I love spending money on adventures,” explains Nigel. So what’s the secret to controlling his spontaneous spending? That would be his wife. “One of the secrets to doing okay with money is to marry someone whose style compliments you. My wife is a security saver and we balance each other out – if I’d been single this whole time, I would have done all kinds of crazy, stupid, dumb stuff!”
