New Zealand Woman’s Weekly

This week’s model Shirley shares her beauty tips with us… As we head into cooler weather, how do you feel your skin changes?

My skin definitely looks and feels a lot drier. I spend a bit of time in Queenstown over winter and the lack of humidity is very noticeable, so I try to counteract it by using lots of oils and moisturisers on my skin.

Do you tend to change your make-up? Yes, I do become more drawn to warmer shades for my nails, lips and eyes. I especially love burgundy in winter.

Have you got any new favourite product finds?

World Organics Pressed Powder. It gives my skin a beautiful finish and the portable compact is easy to throw in my bag.

Are you a bath or shower girl in winter? I normally shower just because it’s quicker but when I have the time, I do love to indulge in a bath laced with luxurious oils – and light a few candles.

When it comes to putting on make-up, what do you struggle the most with?

Having the time to do a decent job!

You’ve got great skin, what’s your secret? Honestly, I think it’s genetics.
