IS IT POSSIBLE THAT I COULD WAKE UP DURING SURGERY?

This is highly unlikely. There is a 1 in 40,000 chance that you will stop feeling the effects of the anaesthesia while you are still on the operating table and “wake up”. Your anaesthetist will be there with you in theatre, monitoring how you are responding, and will keep topping up the anaesthetic drugs for as long as they are needed.
