Wahine tragedy

The Wahine tribute (09.04.18) brought to mind the first trip I did to Ireland in 2008. I popped into a record shop in Belfast to ask for directions and the guy I was talking to asked where I came from. When I told him, he floored me when he said his dad had drowned on a boat that sank in Wellington harbour and he was one of the 53 who died when the Wahine went down. It still amazes me to this day.
