The legendary ladies bringing back 9 to 5; Billy bites back

-

Sir Billy Connolly may be ill, but don’t ever say he’s losing his marbles. Longtime friend Sir Michael Parkinson (83) has learned that the hard way after he was quoted as saying it appeared his dear friend Billy’s “wonderful brain had dulled” and he didn’t recognise his old chum after an awkward dinner at an awards show.

Upon hearing those comments, Billy (75) rubbished the claims, with the Scotsman saying, “I would recognise Parky if he was standing behind me – in a diving suit.”

His Kiwi-born wife Pamela Stephenson (68) doubled in, calling Michael a “daft old fart” who “doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Billy’s doing great and still funny as hell”.

In fact, the honoured comedian is still busy at work, currently working on a series where he tours around Scotland.

Billy was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2013 and tragically, he was also diagnosed with prostate cancer at the same time, something he has now overcome.

Either way, it looks like Sir Michael might have some grovelling to do!
