About the author….Pip Drysdale

-

She is an actress, musician and writer who grew up in Africa and Australia, and has lived in New York and London. A reformed party girl, she has dated a lot of “bad but fascinating men” and this is her first novel.

This novel was inspired by… “Heartbreak and pentup frustration.”

The most challenging thing about writing it was… “Helping the reader to understand Taylor and why she makes the choices she does. Because she’s not a femme fatale or some mastermind who can immediately execute the perfect revenge scheme. At the beginning, she’s just a normal, relatable, heartbroken woman with only The Art of War and her wits at her disposal.”

My writing habits are… “When I’m writing a first draft, I tend to wake up, put on a pot of coffee and write for at least two to three hours, six or seven days a week. Then the rest of the day is spent doing other things, researching and thinking about how things might unravel.”
