THE DUCHESS DAZZLES DURING HER FIRST SOLO ENGAGEMENT

-

Meghan’s Kiwi faux pas

It’s been a busy time for Meghan, Duchess of Sussex! Wearing a stunning black frock from her wedding dress designer Givenchy, the duchess wowed onlookers at her first solo engagement visiting the Oceania art exhibit in London.

Meghan (37) admired art from all over the Pacific and also performed a hongi with several hosts, including New Zealand’s high commissioner Sir Jerry Mateparae and his wife Janine. However, in a rare faux pas she couldn’t stop giggling as she did so.

The duchess said the showcase was the ideal way to learn about the region she and Harry will tour next month.

Before that, Meghan also had to take a crash course in netball, after being roped into a game with her husband Prince Harry (34) at an awards ceremony with graduates of Coach Core, a project run by their Royal Foundation that helps unemployed people train as community sports coaches.

The duchess has also spoken to a documentary, revealing in it that she was hiding several secrets on her wedding day, including that the signature flowers of all 53 Commonwealth nations were embroidered on her veil, a fact Harry wasn’t aware of.

“He was really over the moon to find out I made this choice for our day,” she said. “Other members of the family had a similar reaction... I hope people liked it.”

Their netball form was fierce, but ultimately it was a win to Prince Harry, 3-2, after he enticed his wife into a game recently. New to the sport, the duchess still managed to show some spirit at least!
