Would you love to have your story published in an issue of your favourite magazine? Now is your chance! Perhaps you’re known for your creative imaginatio­n and could give Marian Keyes a run for her money as a short-story fiction writer, or do you have an incredible real-life story that you think deserves to be heard? We’re looking for original stories for our New Zealand Woman’s Weekly Short Story Competitio­n, so now it’s your turn to put pen to paper! The winning entry will be published in the Weekly this summer, plus you’ll take home an amazing basket of books, valued at more than $500.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Entry is open only to New Zealand residents. Employees of Bauer Media Group (LP) NZ, their affiliates, agencies and immediate families are ineligible to enter. No responsibi­lities are taken for lost, misdirecte­d or incomplete entries. Each entry must be an original story, written by the person who enters the story and must not have been previously published in any form of media. This promotion commences on November 4, 2018 and ends on November 26, 2018 at midnight. The winner, chosen at the discretion of the editor, will be notified on December 10. By entering, the writer gives permission for their story to be published, should it be selected, in the issue dated January 7, 2019. Stories may be edited. The prize package is a selection of books valued at more than $500. The prize package must be taken as offered and is not exchangeab­le, transferab­le or redeemable for cash.
