The Xena star’s freak accident
Kiwi star Lucy Lawless (50) is best known for her magnificent fighting moves in ’90s cult television show
Xena: Warrior Princess.
But when she was concussed recently, it was doing something considered far less dangerous – yoga!
The actress took to Twitter to explain how the accident happened. “A month ago I got kicked in the head at yoga (!) by an overzealous handstander. Three weeks later I was experiencing confusion, balance issues and depression. I thought concussion was for rugby players. I have dropped out of all commitments to mend.”
She also cautioned her fans, “Take care of your brain!”
It was recently announced that Lucy has landed the lead role as fearless investigator Alexa Crow in a new Australian drama series,
My Life Is Murder, due on TV screens next year. Fingers crossed she is completely recovered before filming begins.
