A DAD AT 17!
Coronation Street star Alex Bain has become a teenage dad. The actor and his girlfriend Levi Shelby (16) welcomed a baby girl,
Lydia-Rose Bain, on December 2, a week after Alex turned 17.
The new mum excitedly shared a picture of the baby on her Facebook page, and the announcement was flooded with congratulations from friends and family.
The soap star, who plays troubled teen Simon Barlow
on the show, was forced to deny rumours that he and Levi had split up a few weeks ago. He posted on Facebook: “I’m still with my girlfriend and can’t wait to have my own little family.”
Alex joined Corrie in 2008 as Peter Barlow’s son, who had to live with his alcoholic dad after his mother died. His character has been involved in several hard-hitting storylines recently, including physically abusing his stepmum, Leanne Barlow, and joining a gang.
