Seventh heaven

-

Even as she returns for her seventh season as Sarah Barnaby in the classic British drama Midsomer Murders, Fiona Dolman still has to pinch herself that it’s real some days.

“I feel incredibly proud of this show,” she gushes. “When I came in to film my very first episode, I was in a room with Edward Fox and Phyllida Law. I just remember thinking, ‘This is insane – I am being paid to sit in a room with these incredible actors!’ And ever since that day, this job has never disappointed.”

While Fiona’s character may not be a detective, this time she’s still getting in the middle of all the action.

“There are a couple of really great episodes this series where Sarah gets fully involved in the thick of everything, which was tremendous fun to film,” she teases.

This season also sees the arrival of a new pathologist, played by EastEnders star Annette

Badland. “Her character, Dr

Fleur Perkins, is brilliant, and

Annette has been a huge asset and bonus this season,” Fiona tells.
