‘SO HAPPY YOU SAID YES’
Star-Lord and The Terminator are about to become family! Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt has just become engaged to Arnold Schwarzenegger’s daughter Katherine. Chris apparently asked permission of the actor and former Californian governor, and his ex-wife, journalist Maria Shriver (63), before popping the question to author Katherine (29).
The couple announced their happy news on Instagram, posting a photo of themselves, with Katherine sporting an enormous diamond ring.
Chris (39) captioned the photo, “Sweet Katherine, so happy you said yes. I’m thrilled to be marrying you. Proud to live boldly in faith with you. Here we go!” Meanwhile, his fiancée posted the same picture and wrote, “My sweet love. Wouldn’t want to live this life with anyone but you.”
Friends say Chris has made a point of getting close to Katherine’s family since they got together just nine months ago. “From the beginning, Chris has been a part of family activities,” says a friend. “They are a very tight-knit crew and they love that Chris is a goodhearted, family-oriented person.”
Arnold (71) is yet to publicly share his opinion on his future son-in-law, but actress Anna Faris, Chris’ ex-wife and the mother of his son Jack (6), offered her best wishes.
“I’m so happy for you both,” Anna (42) commented on their post. “Congratulations!”
