This is particularly vital if you have been in contact with anyone who has the measles, or if you have symptoms like a fever, sore throat, dry cough, inflamed eyes and sensitivity to light. The medical practice can arrange for you to be taken to a separate room as soon as you arrive, rather than let you sit in the waiting room and possibly infect others.
