MALEFICENT: MISTRESS OF EVIL (PG)

Five years after enchanting audiences in their first film, Angelina Jolie and Elle Fanning have reunited for this longawaited sequel. Elle’s character Aurora is peacefully ruling the magical land of the Moor − that is until her soon-to-be mother-in-law arrives on the scene. Michelle Pfeiffer plays the conniving Queen Ingrith, who is hell-bent on destroying Maleficent and her fellow fairy folk. While the film is visually appealing, to me the storyline was at times quite predictable and did not have the same pull as its predecessor.
