JIM CARREY

-

Although he’s been drawing and painting since he was a kid, Jim Carrey became fully immersed in his art around 11 years ago, hinting that he needed to paint to get over a painful end to a relationship. “When I really started painting a lot, I had become so obsessed that there was nowhere to move in my home. Paintings were everywhere. They were becoming a part of the furniture – I was eating on them,” says the Dumb and Dumber actor, 59. “I don’t know what it is painting teaches me, I know it just frees me. Free from the future, free from the past, free from regret, free from worry.”
