THE SONG I LISTEN TO WHEN I NEED A PICKME-UP IS… anything by Taylor Swift. She has a song for literally anything and everything you’re going though. Yes, I’m a diehard Swiftie.

IF I COULD PASS ANY LAW IT WOULD BE…

a law to stop racism. Condemn racists who commit hate crimes and violence against Asian, Pacific and indigenous people.

THE SHOP I CAN’T WALK PAST IS… Hikoco. I would sell my soul for Korean skincare and cosmetics.

THE BRAVEST THING I’VE EVER DONE IS… walk through the doors of Auckland Theatre Company and believe I could lead one of their shows.

MY GREATEST WEAKNESS IS… potatoes. I will eat anything potato.

I’M CURRENTLY

READING… The Prophet by Kahlil Gibran. I feel like it’s one of those books you’ll always return to, to understand life and realign yourself.

WHEN I WAS A CHILD, I WANTED TO GROW UP AND BE… like Kat Tsz Hung (who plays Pearl, my mum in Single Asian Female). There was an enormous wave of Asian pride rushing over me when I first saw her on TV. She is creative, beautiful and a comedic genius, with an enormous heart and boundless soul.
