Ihope you’ve been loving the longer weekends as much as I have – even though the short working weeks can make things a bit harder. My husband and I were lucky enough to visit family in Tauranga for a few days, where we enjoyed long beach walks, food and laughs. It’s so lovely to be able to see family again because it has been a tumultuous couple of years for so many, including our cover stars Candy Lane and her fiancé Ricky. Separated from Candy’s daughter and her family who live in Australia, they were unable to see each other for long periods and then last year they ended up spending more time than expected across the ditch when our borders shut mid-year. But they enjoyed it so much, they’ve made the big decision to pack up their belongings and move there permanently. Candy and Ricky will, however, return to New Zealand for their wedding – they just need to decide when that will be! I wish them all the best on their exciting new adventure.

The royal family continues to have a big year with the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in a few months, Prince Harry and Meghan’s recent visit to Europe – where Harry gave a surprise interview – and multiple books that have been or are about to be published. From page 12, we detail all the latest news, including new insights into the childhood of princes William and Harry.

Elsewhere, I’m hoping you enjoy the story with Caroline Thomson and her six-yearold sheep Lucky as much as I did! Lucky is well-known to Christchurch locals for his amazing ability to perform tricks and pose for selfies. I’m finding it hard enough to train my puppy Molly (any tips appreciated!).

Enjoy your mag and have a wonderful week,
