Kiwi star of The Gone gives us some clues about what makes her tick

Latest binge watch… If I’m being totally honest, Below Deck. It’s a great background show when I’m working at home – the drama is hilarious! Before that, I was making my way through every true-crime doco

I could find.

Last movie you loved… Everything Everywhere All At Once. I love when art can surprise me and this film did that a thousand times over, while also kicking me in the soul at the end. Stunning film! Last movie you watched…

I rewatched Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone with my sister recently. I loved the film as a kid, but I didn’t realise quite how much until the two of us were quoting every second line during the film. English accents and all!

Top podcast… Armchair Expert and all of the shows that fall under this umbrella, including Flightless Bird by our very own David Farrier. I love their honest and open conversations – it’s brilliant and real. I’d also say

The Offensive, which is like football meets The Office, but I’m bias to that one because I’m in it. Reading recommendation…

Pu¯ra¯kau: Maori Myths Retold by Ma¯ori Writers. I’m making my way through it and it’s so interesting to read our old stories from these new perspectives. Highly recommend!

New favourite song… I am Woman by Emmy Meli, but my most played track is definitely Cabin Downpour on sleepcast Headspace!

Best holiday spot… Anywhere where I’m with my favourite people and my phone is turned off.

Best beauty tip… Sunscreen every day and always washing my face at the end of the day. No exceptions.

I’m loving cleansing oils and it felt like such a luxury using the sans[ceuticals] cleansing oil after filming every day to take my make-up off. It does the job so well and smells divine. Mystery series The Gone will premiere Sunday, May 7 at 8.30pm on TVNZ 1 and TVNZ+.
