If you’re mak­ing a trip to see the Blue Mosque, note there are spe­cific open­ing times for pub­lic use. For­get the af­ter­noon time and opt for the late evening slot to miss the ma­jor tourist queues.

If you’re go­ing on a boat, do re­mem­ber to bring sea­sick­ness tablets with you. You never know when you’ll be able to stop or if the is­land you do stop at has a phar­macy. Let’s just say the first day was very rough for a few peo­ple on my sail.
