Get your groove on . . . and win

-

Here’s a great way to celebrate the new year: six hours of live music at one of Auckland’s vineyards.

And there is a free double ticket available to a lucky reader.

Turanga Creek vineyard, tucked away in rural Whitford

(for those of you unfamiliar, that’s in the south east of our sprawling city) will host Groove in the Grapes on January 21.

There is free onsite parking, gates open at noon, and live music starts at 1.30pm. This is a family-friendly, all-ages event.

Entry is free for kids aged 12 and under.

Opening acts are the duo Coupe de Ville and covers band Hands Off.

The main act is Stellar*, led by vocalist Boh Runga. They’ve had four RIANZ top 10 singles (the highest-rating being Every Girl at number 3) and two number 1 albums.

Melanoma New Zealand will also attend, so remember to Slip, Slop, Slap and Wrap!

Bring your shade, blankets and chairs. There will be designated areas for umbrellas and shades to make the space accessible for everyone.

The beverage tent will feature Turanga Creek wines, Hallertau beers, and non-alcoholic options.

Free tap water will be available throughout. Strictly no BYO alcohol. Cash and eftpos will be available.

You are welcome to bring a picnic and set it up under your shade cover, or food trucks will be available and Turanga chef John can supply either a picnic box or a platter box.

General admission tickets go on sale from December 1 for $66.55 per person – but Turanga Creek has put a double ticket aside for one of our readers. To win enter at bit.ly/wingroove23.
