Massey family big win car and cash
Ask the Stedmances family what it feel like to win a brand new car and $15,000 in cash and they will say you have to watch the show to understand their reaction.
But they do say it was a ‘‘fantastic journey’’.
The Stedmances of Massey still cannot believe they have come out as triumphant on the TV3 game show Family Feud.
The family was always fond of the show and would sit down together to watch the programme, says Jade Stedmances.
She lives just a stone’s throw from her brother Justin Stedmances and his wife Danielle.
‘‘We decided to apply to go on the show because we get along so well,’’ Jade Stedmances says.
Also, on the panel was the siblings’ mother Joy Stedmances.
‘‘It was just so much fun to be on the show,’’ she says.
‘‘I mean we had so much fun and Dai is just hilarious.’’
They all agree that the experience has brought them a lot closer together as a family.
Justin Stedmances, the only male on the panel, was the most competitive of the lot.
‘‘I tried to get all the answers right all the time, but sometimes that did not go so well,’’ he says.
‘‘In the end we all went together and we all came back winners.’’
The Stedmances’ episode of Family Feud screened on June 30 on TV3.
