North Taranaki Midweek

Cafe needs volunteers

- STAFF REPORTER

The wonderful team at the Taranaki Cathedral have created a fantastic cafe that is open every Tuesday morning from 7.30am to 10am serving delicious crepes and a full breakfast menu. Fresh filter coffee, tea or milo are part of the menu. This amazing project as grown so popular that additional volunteers are urgently needed.

The kitchen is looking for a couple of cooks who can are able to work in a very busy kitchen. Ideally these volunteers would be able to work from 7am to 10am and an awareness of food hygiene would be important. There is a lot happening in a small space so a passion for food always helps.

There is also a request for volunteers to take orders and wait on tables. Coverage for these roles are from 7am to 10am and being able to take orders, ask questions and write clearly is most helpful - above all though that welcoming, friendly greeting is most important.

The opportunity will be given to anyone who is interested to visit the cafe and talk to the manager about how everything works.

Training and support is also offered before anyone needs to commit to the roster.

If you would like further information about these exciting roles then please contact Heather at the Volunteers Centre on (06) 7588-986 or email her at npvsnz@yahoo.co.nz and she will make sure that your details are given to the Cafe Manager.
