Volunteers gift games to schools

- DEENA COSTER

North Taranaki schools have been gifted game sets made by a crew of handy volunteers, as part of the group’s commitment to give back to the community.

The Waitara Menz Shed’s community focus for this year was to make and donate 16 cornhole game sets, and give them away to schools.

The game, also known as sack toss, involves throwing fabric bean bags at a raised angled board with a hole in the far end.

Each set contains a playing board, eight corn bags, a scoring tracker and instructions on how to play.

The sets were made at the shed’s Ogle St premises in Waitara.
