A two-hour comedy showcase of some of New Zealand’s favourite performers is coming to Kerikeri.

Friday Laughs at The Turner Centre in Kerikeri on May 27 features a range of newcomer and veteran comedy talent from all over the country, proving that comedy in Aotearoa isn’t just for the major cities.

Hosting this night of cracking comedy talent is MC Michele A’Court (pictured above).

A’Court has performed around the world, including in Las Vegas, Edinburgh, and Vancouver.

Guild Awards in 2010, A’Court’s work has shown up everywhere on stage, television and radio.

Joining the lineup is headline act of the night, Jeremy Elwood (pictured right), best known as a regular panellist on TV3’s 7 Days and Radio New Zealand’s The Panel. He has headlined comedy clubs in New Zealand, Australia, Indonesia, Singapore, America, and his native Canada.

Alongside A’Court and Elwood is Glaswegian newcomer Ryan McGhee, who moved to Aotearoa just a few years ago and is already proving himself as a strong comedy force after bursting onto the scene.
