Agency cruises to win

World Travellers Kerikeri was honoured with an Australasi­an award for its work with cruise ships.

It won the Cruise Lines Internatio­nal Associatio­n Award for Network Promotion of the Year at a ceremony in Sydney.

World Travellers Group New Zealand marketing manager and Kerikeri local Angela Barber is credited by the company as playing a pivotal role in the achievemen­t.

Her dedication and hard work, along with the collective effort of the team, were crucial in bringing the award to New Zealand, World Travellers in Kerikeri owner Celia Honiss said.

“Angela’s experience and commitment to promoting the incredible holiday option that is cruising, have made her an invaluable asset to the team. We’re absolutely delighted with the win.

“Kiwis are taking to the high seas more than ever and with so many fabulous cruise lines and itinerarie­s available, we invite everyone considerin­g a cruise to reach out and experience the exceptiona­l service and expertise that helped lead to this remarkable accolade,” Honiss said.

Joel Katz, the managing director of Cruise Lines Internatio­nal – which handed out the award – said of the ceremony: “The energy and excitement in the room were typical of a region that leads the world when it comes to passion for cruising. Each of the winners has been a stand-out achiever, showing ingenuity, persistenc­e, creativity and drive.”
