Rangiora Pony Club info night
The Rangiora Pony Club is holding a registration and information evening next Wednesday evening, with a special guest speaker for the occasion.
Accomplished local equestrian, Cam Robertson, will speak to his experiences having worked and competed overseas in eventing.
Club president Geoff Spark said all existing club members were required to have a representative attend the meeting as new membership forms were required, along with updated information which would be provided about the year ahead.
Pony Club caters for all levels of riders from lead rein to competition. Rally days are the second and fourth Sundays each month, held at Rangiora Pony Club grounds, accessed off Coldstream Rd, at the A & P showgrounds.
Regular rallies are also held away from the pony club, where members get the chance to utilise other specialised facilities and focus on different aspects of equestrian including hunting, western riding, natural horsemanship, showjumping and x-country. The club has also recently taken part in a one day trek up on a North Canterbury farm.
There are opportunities to be part of teams including games, dressage, showjumping and eventing.
Anyone interested in joining Rangiora Pony Club or just wanting to find out more information is warmly welcome to the even on May 16. The evening will run from 7 to 8pm next Wednesday at the North Canterbury Community College, 140 East Belt, Rangiora (opposite Rangiora High School).
