Get winter ready with North Canterbury Energy Centre

-

You may not have noticed it, but there’s a change in the air in Canterbury.

As March continues, it’s clear that Autumn is here, signalled by the sun setting earlier, cooler temperatures and more leaves on the ground. The seasons have a way of sneaking up on us – it’s hard to notice this dayby-day change, but you’ll know for sure when you see snow on the hills and your breath in the air that winter is on its way.

Ahead of colder days, there’s no better time to get your heating sorted than now.

For that, you’ll want to see North Canterbury Energy Centre, the region’s heating experts. Having long been Canterbury’s go-to business for heat pumps and ventilation, the friendly team has helped hundreds of locals find a heating solution for their homes and businesses.

While they specialise in heat pumps (the cheapest and most energy efficient form of heating to run in NZ), other solutions are offered.

Alongside installing heating solutions, they also provide maintenance and can remove/replace old heat pumps. Once a nonoperational pump is off the wall, it’s not just tossed in the rubbish. North Canterbury Energy Centre always tries to reduce the carbon footprint of a dead heat pump by ensuring that all refrigerant is safely removed and sent to a safe disposal site.

All metal/copper is recycled and they only dump the bare minimum.

‘‘This is very important to us as a company, we really try to reduce our footprint,’’ says operations manager Hollie Brown.

For new heat-pumps, they recommend using R-32 refrigerant as it has a significantly lower environmental impact than its predecessors.

‘‘We also provide free onsite consultations to ensure the heat pump you get is the best for your environment and needs.

We supply a 5 year comprehensive guarantee to any new product we supply, this includes installation, not just the manufacturer’s warranty.’’
